I’m Teacher Claris — a licensed English teacher with six years of classroom experience and several years of online teaching, supporting learners from Intermediate to Senior High levels in both private and public schools. I’ve taught students from the Philippines, China, and Korea. I live by a beautiful quote from Abdul Kalam: “If the people remember me as a good teacher, that will be the biggest honor for me.” I’m also a sister, wife, mother, aunt, and friend — and above all, a humble, God-fearing woman who’s always happy to connect and communicate with others. Hello! My name is Jordan Abance, but feel free to call me Mr. Jordan. I’m a licensed teacher in the Philippines, currently working with junior high school students in a traditional classroom setting. I’ve also taught Japanese students online and worked as a music instructor — teaching guitar, bass, and ukulele. I’ve been passionately teaching for 12 years — 11 of those in the Philippines, where I also led an English after-school program for non-readers. I served as coordinator and department head at a Christian school for 2 years.Since July 2024, I’ve been teaching English at an international school in Japan, where I also support Japanese children learning ESL — while learning my third language!
